Billions Welcomes Diet Cig

Billions proudly announces our newest client, Diet Cig. Formed in 2014 when Alex  Luciano attended a house show where Noah Bowman’s band was playing, the duo quickly hit it off and in September of that year officially became Diet Cig. They released their debut EP, Over Easy, was released the following year and garnered attention from publications such as SPIN and Consequence of Sound. Their debut album, Swear I’m Good At This, was released in 2017 and quickly shot the duo into the spotlight. (more…)

Billions Welcomes IAN SWEET

Billions proudly announces our newest client, IAN SWEET. The Brooklyn based trio formed in 2014 when front woman Jilian Medford recruited drummer Tim Cheney to go on tour with her. That same year, they enlisted bassist Damien Scalise and IAN SWEET was officially born. Their debut album, Shapeshifter, was released in 2016 and quickly gained attention from publications such as Impose, which wrote “It’s the seemingly rare kind of raw, emotive rock album that takes its sense of structure from stuff— ice cream and skateboards and TV sets, among other cheerful debris– that’s most meaningful when taken literally, not as tokens in some grander metaphor.” (more…)

Billions Welcomes Stella Donnelly

Billions proudly announces our newest client, Stella Donnelly. Growing up between Wales and Western Australia, Donnelly began her musical endeavors in her high school rock band before developing an interested in jazz and contemporary while at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. In early 2017, she released her acclaimed debut EP, Thrush Metal, and quickly received invitations to perform at showcases such as The Great Escape and SXSW. Her music video for “Boys Will Be Boys” received critical acclaim from publications such as Pitchfork, Stereogum, and DIY Magazine.

Hosted by author and journalist Martha Barnette and lexicographer and linguist Grant Barrett, A Way with Words is a public radio show and podcast about language examined through culture, history, and family. Billions Welcomes Erin Rae

Billions proudly announces our newest client, Erin Rae. Nashville native Erin Rae grew up around folk music. Her parents, both musicians, would perform their own style of roots music at county fairs, churches, and coffee shops and, at the age of five, Erin Rae began joining them on stage. Two decades later in 2015 she released her debut album, Soon Enough, and quickly garnered attention from prominent publications such as NPR, where her song “Monticello” was featured on All Songs Considered. In 2017 she partnered with The Refuge Foundation for the Arts to record her second album, set to release in early 2018.

Billions Welcomes The Coathangers

Billions proudly announces our newest client, The Coathangers. Formed in 2006, the Atlanta-based, all-female garage punk band started their career playing house parties before their proper stage debut opening for The Hiss. They soon developed a friendship with fellow Atlanta natives The Black Lips and quickly began opening for them and gaining a larger audience. They released their debut self-titled album in 2007 and began touring throughout Georgia. By the time they released their third album, Larceny & Old Lace, in 2011, they were playing shows throughout the country and had opened for The Thermals in Europe. They released their well-received fifth album, Nosebleed Weekend, in 2016 and this past summer released their Parasite EP. (more…)
